When and Where.

From April 1 to April 5, 2013 the disrupting/Undoing Salon will be hosted by  OCAD University’s Diversity and Equity Initiatives, Faculty of Art, and the Inclusive Design Research Centre at 49 McCaul Street, Toronto.  The Salon will be open to the OCAD U community of students, staff, employees, and alumni as well as the public — in particular the various communities of persons with disabilities.

For participation to be innovative and inclusive, it requires an understanding of the different abilities and skill sets that people contribute when interacting with each other through various mediums. The Arts are a major component of innovation; one that is essential to our Canadian cultural and economic prosperity.

At the disrupting/Undoing Salon, the arts and art-making will be leveraged to bring voice to artists, designers, educators, inclusive of those with disabilities, enabling all to participate with one another and to bring new ideas to our ever-changing culture. Our vision is to create an open and accessible space where we invite and listen to new voices and perspectives.
